All coaches, assistant coaches, managers, and board members must complete a background check through www.gotsoccer.com. You will be provided with a log in and instructions.
The Safe Sport course is an online awareness/prevention training that must be completed by all coaches, assistant coaches, managers, and board members. The course will take about 3 hours to complete. You will be able to stop and log in to continue if you are unable to complete the course in one sitting.
To register go to https://www.safesport.org/ click NGB Training in the bottom right hand corner. Create a log in using the same email address you use for your gotsoccer account.
When prompted, click 'Add Membership' and select 'US Soccer' as the Organization

You will receive an email activate your account. You must click the link emailed to you to complete your registeration.
When you log in, you will be directed to the Safesport Learning Dashboard where you can start your training coarse You must complete all three training modules. Once completes, print out your certification and keep it for your record. The training is valid for 2 years.
Before each season, we will hold a Coaches Meeting where coaches will receive information on the upcoming season and new rosters. Please keep in mind, you MUST have your background check and Safe Sport Training complete before you receive your team roster.
Getting your Team Started:
You will want to determine when and where your team will practice. You can find a list of approved practice locations on our Documents page.
Within 3 days of receiving your roster, call all your players, introduce yourself, and provide information regarding first practice.
At your first practice/team meeting, have all parents complete a Medical Release Form and a Zero Tolerance Form. These forms should be present at each practice and game. Find these forms on our Documents page.
